Korea Trip Day 3

Monday 6th May 2013

• Cycling at Han River
• Walking to 63 Building
• Walking around some streets in Korea
• MBC Building!
• Seorae Village (Little France)
• Banpo Bridge

Here's our beautifully messy guesthouse. HAHA! Yea, it really looks damn messy I don't know why. But still awesome place to rest. =D

The main attraction that day was the Han River I guess? Haha! Cycling there and watching pretty light show by the bridge there also! But yes it's seriously a pretty and nice river. Why Singapore no such rivers!! We only have one small Singapore River. Lol! Ah well, okok let's not compare. Haha! But I can really cycle along Han River forever because the river is huge. Lol! So you can go different areas of the river to cycle also.

We went to the Yeouido Park there because it seems prettiest there. Lol! It's quite near to our guesthouse also. We wanted to go to this railway track cycling but it's at the other end of Seoul which is quite far. So next time!! Haha! For the fact that we went cycling this time, it's not bad already. Haha! I really like. =D

When we walked out from the subway, we felt really happy. HAHA! It just feels really nice. Like very open and free and awesome lar. Haha! But it wasn't exactly spring time when we went so there wasn't much cherry blossom there so that was kinda sad but it was still really very nice. Haha!

 THIS BIRD. It's so pretty and this bird is so common there that it's similar to the black bird in Singapore. That common bird. Lol! Javan Myna (Yes, I went to google the name of the bird) But yes, this one is Korea's and it's so pretty. I think it's the blue that just makes the bird a lot prettier. Haha! Korean Magpies!! (Googled this too)

Anyway, so we walked towards the bicycle rental place and we found a playground!! Haha! And yea, we got really excited and ran towards the swings. LOL! Or rather, I did I think.

 And yes, this is really one of my favourite photo taken of me. HAHA! Yea lar yea lar, Eunice the best ok! Take such nice photos. Haha! But wow, my eyes really cannot make it. LOL! Oh well.

And yes, of course, we would obviously make use of this very nice and pretty playground to take photos. HAHA!

 This is really one of the best photos taken in the trip also. HAHA! They look so happy and carefree~ And yea only the two of them will do stuffs like that. Haha! But yessss really damn chio. =D

Yea I have no idea what they are doing. HAHA!

So after playing at the swings for awhile, we decided to start cycling. HAHA!  We really digress like crazy. But anyway, I'm so in love with their bicycles!! It's all so pretty and nice. Haha! I think I'm so biased 'cause it's Korea but whatever lar.

 These bicycles are for kids though. LOL!

For adults~

So we went to get our bikes! It's quite affordable. Like really worth the money. So we were all happy. Haha! We went on to cycle~ Ohya! The cool thing about the bicycle rental here is that you don't have to return the bikes to the same place you rented from. All the rental place are linked? So that's very very convenient. Though we still went back to the same shop to return anyway. Haha! But I think it's quite good 'cause it's really like you can travel from one place to another using bicycle and not go back to the same place just to return the bicycles.

 So as we were cycling, we attempted to take many photos. Which many failed. Haha! But ok lar, at least we attempted! And yea, I saw this group of elderly sitting in a circle and playing some game so I stop and took photo. LOL! This photo is taken using Holga though. So the colour is slightly different but still quite awesome. Haha! But yea, somehow the scene just makes me really happy. There is just this laid back lifestyle of these elderly that just makes you smile somehow.

We stop at this random place to take photos~~ Haha! Everyone looks so awesome here. HAHA! Ok lar, I admit, I look the most unglam here. HAHA! But it's still a nice photo. =D

Yea I think we all look really very happy. HAHA!

I think we cycled for quite a long while and quite far until we decided to stop and turn back and have lunch. HAHA! Just that yea, we realised that there wasn't much places with food along the way.

 The round dome head building is the National Assembly Building if I'm not wrong. Though we never went there. Haha! But I'm still amused by the building.

As we cycled back, we stop at this place another the bridge 'cause we were slightly tired I think? HAHA! I forgot why we stop already but yea we just sat there and take nonsense photos for awhile. Lol!

 Sad tired kids here. HAHA!

 OHYA! And here's Eun trying to teach me how to shuffle. Yes, I don't really know how to shuffle. Or rather, the way I shuffle isn't called shuffling but just random weird leg movements on the spot. But ok ah, I think I still failed. LOL! I still didn't really know how to shuffle properly at the end of the trip but it's ok lar. I'll just do my unique kind of shuffling. Haha!

 HAHA! This is like one of the most stupid and retarded idea we had. 'cause when we jump, our shirts will fly, so we happily tuck in our shirts, only to realise that we look more like idiots with our shirts tucked in.

 And yes, I should have totally cropped myself out of the photo. LOL! The wind was blowing. So it ain't my fault that it blew my freaking hair and cover my face so beautifully.

Drama mama Eun

 HAHA! I think this Lung was really tired and hungry so she really just sat there and rest. Lol! And smile when I take photo of her. Hah!

 And so we decided to do demure poses for her. Haha!

Yea we really took a lot of weird and stupid photos. But this one turned out quite nice!! Just that it's not all 5 of us. YA!! It's very annoying sometimes 'cause it's hard to get all 5 of us in the same photo unless self timer all that but not all places have somewhere to place the camera at. But ok, we still managed to take nice photos of all 5 of us so it's all good. Haha!

So after we returned our bicycles, we went to hunt for food. Haha! We had to walk quite long though 'cause there wasn't anything much along the way. And ok, I didn't research what food to eat around that area 'cause I thought that it will be easy to find food there. =\ 

Along the way, we took some photos here and there. HAHA!

 Like this dagger staring eyes from Maddy. It's really scary. And woahhh. HAHA! Chio ah. Hehe.

OHYA! We saw some sakura blossom and got really excited. HAHA!

 It's really pretty. There is just something nice about these kind of flowers. Heh.

So as we walked, we ended up eating at this place that rents out such ducks to visitors. HAHA! There are some food there so we just went there. But then we realised that there wasn't any food there. Lol! So guess what we ate?

CUP NOODLES!! Ok lar, we were really honestly very very hungry so we just made do with that. Yes, our meals were really quite sad for the first 2 days in Korea. HAHA! But yea, it all got better. A lot better. Heh.

This was taken outside the place we ate. It looks very decent right! Like there will be decent food there. Lol! But ok lar, there really aren't muc people there so it's ok actually!

 HAHAHA! This was where this photo was taken at. Ok lar, I actually kinda like this photo. Though my eyes were closed. But ohya! Eun told me to just take photos with my eyes closed since my eyes are usually nonexistence in most of the photos. Yep, I have very nice friends all over. Everyone loves my eyes, or rather the lack of it. Sheesh. IT'S OKAY! I still love my eyes.

 Yea, my ideas of taking MV like photos. Of people walking. It's actually really quite nice what! I really like to take photos while people are walking 'cause it's all really natural. Heh.

YAYYYY I still think this is a cool photo. HAHA! At first Eun and I attempted to do one but it kinda failed LOL! But yess, this one is nice. Hehe. Running Man. =D

Anyway, so we walked towards 63 Building since we were nearby! But then we realised to go up, we need to pay quite a lot and we think it wasn't that worth it. So we just went to the ground level and then Eun found a salon. HAHAHA

She just have the storng urge to cut her frige there 'cause it was annoying her so she asked how much it was to cut her fringe. And it was 3000 won and somehow it feels cheap to her so she decided to go for it. HAHA! Epic. Really really epic. 

TA DA!! hahahahahahaahah! At first, we thought it was really ok, then we realised it's actually quite funny. It's bangs actually. HAHA! Just that in a strange looking way. HAHA! BEST HAIRCUT EVER RIGHT EUNICE?

Anyway, so we left the 63 building and decided to walk to MBC Building! 'cause it was on the way to the Subway station I think! We could have walked to a closer one but we figured, might as well just drop by MBC Building just for fun. Haha! We wanted to find KBS Building more actually but it was further I think? And we were lazy. Lol!

Yea we really just went there and take photos like this one and left. HAHAHA! Yes, we suck but whatever lar. It's our best attempt at trying to meet celebrities. Haha!

So from there, we went to take the subway to go to the Express Bus Terminal to meet up with Sharon's friends! So that we can go to Seorae Village (Little France). We saw online that the place looks quite pretty so we decided to go there to take photos. Haha!

So I think I've mentioned how Express Bus Terminal was a shopping paradise, we continued to shop while we waited for them to come. Haha! Yes, our 2nd time being there. But yes, shopping is good when you find such good deals. =D

We had trouble meeting up with them 'cause we didn't really have data and there wasn't much wifi around there and there was a miscommunication I think so we had to wait quite long before we finally met up with them.

Maddy and I were tired. So we decided to heck it and sit on the floor.

HAHAHAHA! I forgot about this until I went back to look at the photos and it totally cracked me up. We know that it will be embarrassing and people will stare at us, so we took a map to cover our face. HAHA! Yes, weird ideas we have. And then Maddy said she saw passer-bys who really stared down at us. Like really wondering what the heck these people are doing there. Lucky I never see. Haha! Then yea, after awhile, we realised we should stop 'cause it's really embarrassing. The other 3 walked far away from us after taking this photo. LOL!

We finally met up with them! There were 3 of them. 2 are Sharon's dance seniors from AC and there were also travelling around Korea by themselves! So we might as well just meet up for dinner! And 1 girl is a Korean! Haha! So that's quite cool. =D

So we walked to Seorae Village from there! We decided to have dinner first 'cause we were all very hungry. And yes!! That was the first proper good meal we had since arriving in Korea. Haha!

HAHA! It just fit perfectly on her head. HAHA!

 And yea I was really amused by this. Haha! Yea, it was my first time seeing it and it's really quite fascinating how it just suck up all the smoke. LOL!

 

Damn, this is making me hungry. I want Korean BBQ now. =( LOOK AT THE MEAT. It's damn aweosme lar, I cannot. I really love pork. LOL! 

Too full already. HAHA! But yea, we were really happy 'cause it's really the first good meal we had. Haha! And yes, meat. Heh.

After dinner, we wanted to explore the Seorae Village but it was already very dark and there wasn't much to see so we decided to go to Banpo Bridge!

Walked there because it was around the area! And for awhile, we saw the place but we didn't know how to reach there. Haha! Yes, it was slighlty complicated to go there but it was so worth it though.

 The still river. It really made me realise why Han River is featured in almost all Korean Drama. Haha! It's really that calm and beautiful and you can really just sit there and enjoy the peace and quiet there.

 The light show!! It was really pretty and it just makes you really happy when you see it. It's just fascinating how there are such colour lights and all that.

 This photo is taken by Eunice~ Haha! I know I got slightly sian when I can't seem to capture the lights really nicely but at least Eunice did so it's all good. HAHA!

When we walked back to the train station, we took a different route instead. Haha! And we found really cool stuffs. 

Like this mural. HAHA! It's so freaking cute lar. And it's just nice of 6 people. HAHA! So yea, the other two on the left represents Feli and me. Haha! But I really love this wall drawing. Super cute. There were a lot of other wall drawings but this one is really my favourite. Heh.

When we went back to our guesthouse, we decided to be badass and drink alcohol! WAH WAH WAH. Ok lame. We are all of age already anyway so whatever lar. Lol!

But yes, then we realised we really don't like Soju. HAHA! There is this really bitter and strange taste. And it makes me wonder why Koreans like it so much but then again, they are Koreans. Lol! So Euince had to tank most of it so that it won't be so wasted. 'Cause she doesn't reall mind the taste. Haha!

And we decided to put mask and be beautiful. Haha! So the next few photos are going to be hilarious 'cause it was crazy hilarious for us too. Like we all put for a short while only 'cause we were busy laughing like mad and cannot force ourselves to stop. I really was trying my best not to laugh but I cannot. Like I was really dying like crazy. Especially when you take selfie, and you see your own face and you just died.

OHYA! The mask photo don't have Eunice 'cause her face felt very pain when she put on 'cause I think she drank too much Soju. HAHA! But confirm damn funny if it's on her face. Heh. 

OMGGGG yes, I'm done with a post. HAHA! I think I'm still not very summarised but it's ok! I'm long-winded and I like being that. Heh.

And Jiayou for your exams my dear friends!!!! The end is coming soon and I really can't wait for you all to end exams too so that I'll have people to go out with!! Hehe.
